So here's the deal: I put this website up by the seat of my pants because my friend and fellow farmer Tim (the lunatic on the tractor below) was chatting up my great garlic on Gourmet magazine's food editors' blog: www.epicurious.com. So, my thrown-together site ain't all that pretty, I'll admit (although my darling daughters--and Tim's, too--make up for that more than just a little bit). But you are going to love our organic garlic. Jade (at left) helped me trim off about 4,000 scapes (the male seedheads that curl up out of the center of the plants in June); she even supervised the harvest. I'll be "fancifying" this website later on, with images and descriptions of each distinct variety, but for now here are the basics: Each of the following hardneck garlics is suitable for eating or planting (simple cultivating instructions included). The price is $7/half pound, $12/pound, plus actual shipping cost. Email bedandy@dejazzd.com with your interest (and don't pay any attention to the info on any of the attached pages; it's mostly gibberish (for now). Peace.
